This is a very exciting time for Teva, hence the reason we are seeking a talented Assistant Accountant to join the finance team based in Castleford. 

Skills & Experience

  • Educated to Degree level (with a finance or accounting bias) or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience of working in a finance department
  • Finance system experience (Ideally Oracle or SAP)
  • Ability to provide accurate and timely information
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Main Responsibilities

The overall purpose of the role is to support the finance team, assist with accounting procedures for internal and external financial reporting in relation to the UK companies and liaise with other departments, specifically around fixed assets.

  • Fixed assets accounting – including asset register maintenance, recording of depreciation and capitalisation
  • Assist in cashbook accounting – reconciliation of daily cash transactions within Oracle and SAP
  • Preparing reconciliations of month end general ledger balances in Oracle, SAP and HFM
  • Raising manual invoices and POs
  • Assist in the month-end financial reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements for all UK entities
  • Provide additional analysis and reports to senior finance managers in the UK
