Teva UK Limited is recruiting a Key Account Manager for the Birmingham, Oxford, South West and South Wales region of the UK, to have responsibility for maximising sales of our product, Copaxone® (glatiramer acetate) within the CNS Business Unit.

Teva has 80 years’ experience in manufacturing and marketing pharmaceutical products in the UK employing in the region of 1,250 people.  In fact, we are one of the largest suppliers of medicines to the NHS, with 1 in 8 of every pack sold in the UK being a Teva product.  Traditionally, the backbone of our UK business has been generics; however, recent acquisitions have strengthened our range of branded medicines, available in primary and secondary care.

Skills & Experience

  • Educated to degree level (or similar experience)
  • ABPI Code of Practice qualification
  • Significant Key Account Management experience
  • Proven track record in selling branded products within a hospital environment, ideally neurology
  • Knowledge of procurement within the NHS
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills

Main Responsibilities

  • Maximise all sales and development opportunities for our brands to UK NHS Trusts, hospices and private sector hospital service providers.  You will be able to demonstrate clear success in sales in this specialty (or a similar specialty) and be able to discuss ways you have gained business within that environment
  • Achieve sales targets and Company objectives as defined by the Business Unit management team.  We would like you to tell us about your sales success, and the key things you've done to make this happen
  • Work collaboratively with other Sales and Marketing Team colleagues to ensure that business objectives are achieved
  • Develop working relationships with healthcare professionals to effectively influence adoption pathways and purchasing decisions, building customer acquisition, retention, advocacy and loyalty
  • Demonstrate that you have extensive knowledge of the NHS and of the UK pharmaceutical market
  • Be a strong communicator, so tell us about how you've forged strong relationships both internally and externally, and where you've been a team player through sharing best practice
